Kangana Ranaut is facing tough times at box office for last few years. Except Manikarnika, almost every film of her bite dust at box office. Her last solo releases Chandramukhi 2 and Dhaakad were massive disaster, her multilingual release Thalaivi was below par too. Judgmental Hai Kya, Simran, Pangaa, Rangoon, Katti Batti were massive disappointments too.
Kangana Ranaut returned to theatres post the not-so-successful Chandramukhi 2 which featured her alongside Raghava Lawrence. While the film attempted to revive the blockbuster franchise which originally featured South stalwarts like Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Nayanthara, and Prabhu, failed to live up to the kind of blockbuster created by the 2005 film, the actress has now returned to theatres with another venture, Tejas. Although Tejas is a Bollywood film, it aims at touching the patriotic emotions within since it features Kangana in the role of an air force officer.
Kangana’s Lame Excuse For Tejas Failure
Despite a massive fan following on social media, Kangana Ranaut has been unable to withstand the box office pressure and her recent release led to a disastrous start at the box office. This has not gone down well with the actress and although she often blames the ‘movie mafia’ for the failure of her movies, this time around Kangana has called this to be the ‘post COVID effect’.
Kangana Ranaut has taken to social media to share a video dedicating it to her fans and pleading them to go to theatres and watch the film. “Even before Covid, theatrical footfalls were dipping drastically, and post Covid it has become seriously rapid. Many theatres are shutting down and even after free tickets and many reasonable offers, drastic footfall decline is continuing. Requesting people to watch films in theatres and enjoy them with family and friends or else they (theatres) won’t be able to survive. Thanks (sic).”

Netizens reminds her that she was the one who asked for Boycott Bollywood and invented terms like ‘Bollywood mafia’. The people he blamed and crucified during lockdown are doing massive numbers at box office and she is struggling for recovering p & a of her films.
2023 Proved To Be A Defining Year For Bollywood With Back To Back Blockbusters
Shah Rukh Khan broke the myth of Bollywood boycott and lot of nonsense with blockbuster success of Pathaan. Following that numerous films did massive business in 2023. Gadar 2 And Jawan became all time blockbusters with record business all over. Mid sized films like Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, OMG 2, Dream Girl 2, Fukrey 3 made splash at box office too.

In middle of this good times, Kangana’s hue and cry over dismal box office performance of Tejas is laughable. Earlier she wakes up, better for her and for industry as she is own fine actress lost in her own trickery!
